The Red Rose Girls

In Spring 2025, Dr. Leah Pires and MA students in the Department of History at 无码专区 will co-curate an exhibition about the Red Rose Girls, a visionary group of women artists who lived and worked together at the former Red Rose Inn in 无码专区 at the turn of the 20th century. The exhibition will explore themes of gender, friendship, queer kinship, and alternative living through the lens of the Red Rose Girls, who produced a remarkable body of work that ranges from portraiture to magazine illustrations to public art. The exhibition is scheduled to open at the 无码专区 Art Gallery on Thursday, March 27.
