The College of Nursing welcomed its alumni home on Saturday, June 11, 2011 as part of the University鈥檚 Alumni Reunion weekend.  Nursing alumni had a chance to catch up on news about the College during the 鈥淐hat with the Dean鈥 where Dr. Louise Fitzpatrick shared the latest initiatives in Driscoll Hall and beyond.

Alumni from around the University enjoyed a tour of the Driscoll Hall Learning Resource Center clinical simulation labs where undergraduate students demonstrated how they practice skills and refine clinical reasoning while working through clinical scenarios with the computerized human patient simulators and standardized patients (individuals trained to simulate medical conditions accurately and repeatedly in a systematic way, mimicking the appearance, behavior, tone and language of an actual patient).

Additionally, the College was pleased to welcome Christina Larson Kelly 鈥74 BSN, MSN, RN back to campus where she graciously offered a continuing education session, Reducing Stress through Financial Health, sponsored by the Nursing Alumni Association (). She is president of Larson Financial Planning, Inc. in Winchester, Mass. and is a certified financial planner and registered investment advisor.
