OFFICE OF HEALTH PROMOTION
The Division of Student Life strives to foster a diverse, inclusive, and just environment where each student explores meaning and purpose, experiences belonging and support, and embraces personal responsibility. We value each person and insist on providing a holistic experience where students can thrive and community can flourish in the spirit of St. Augustine and our Catholic heritage.
The Office of Health Promotion facilitates programming, resources and services that support personal and community well-being; promotes a campus environment that supports students鈥 ability to thrive, matter and succeed; and empowers students to create positive and healthy change in their own lives and in the community. We recognize that students are not all the same and seek to amplify student voices to ensure that we address the ever-changing needs for student well-being.
The Office of Health Promotion is a resource and referral hub for information on topics stretching the six dimensions of health and well-being: Social, Physical, Intellectual, Cultural, Emotional, and Spiritual.
Health Promotion staff members consult with students on the latest information on college health and well-being, and develop programs and educational opportunities for students. POWER members are trained to provide peer-to-peer programs on alcohol and other drugs, sexual violence, sexual health, nutrition, and fitness.
The Office of Health Promotion works closely with the University Counseling Center and Student Health Center to ensure students are aware of the resources and services available to them as members of the 无码专区 community.
