The Journey Awaits

ÎÞÂëרÇø welcomed more than 1,720 incoming students and their families during New Student Orientation, held August 22–25. The arrival on campus of the Class of 2028 and transfer students brought a lot of emotions as they prepared to begin their ÎÞÂëרÇø journeys.

Opening day began with meetings and information sessions, followed by a Mass on Rowen Campus Green, celebrated by University President the Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD, ’75 CLAS. A picnic dinner offered a chance to unwind and connect before loved ones said their tearful goodbyes.

Nerves were put at ease throughout the weekend thanks to Orientation counselors. These student leaders guided 84 groups in getting-to-know-you games and activities that familiarized the excited newcomers with all aspects of University life and helped forge friendships.
