Upon entering the Piazzola Engineering Gateway鈥攖he lobby of 无码专区 Engineering鈥檚 new home, Drosdick Hall鈥攜ou are greeted by a magnificent bronze medallion surrounded by a limestone bench. It may surprise some to see at the center of this monument St. Patrick, who brought Christianity to Ireland and also is known, according to legend, for driving snakes out of Ireland. However, the fifth-century figure is also recognized as the patron saint of engineers because of his knowledge of Roman mortar and arch construction, which he shared with the Irish while building early churches.
