FAQs

What makes 无码专区 Nursing different from other programs?

As an undergraduate student in the College of Nursing you will begin nursing courses in your freshman year and start clinical experiences in your sophomore year. Because the College has no 鈥渉ome hospital鈥 your clinical experiences are in major medical teaching centers and smaller community hospitals and other agencies. You quickly learn to adapt to new environments and gain exposure to a variety of settings, clinicians and specialties.

At 无码专区, you benefit from a values orientation with 6 credits of philosophy and 6 credits of theology. The majority of our faculty are doctorally-prepared and teach in both the classroom and clinical areas. There are additional study opportunities available, for instance, you may spend your sophomore year abroad. We are also known for the strength of our advising system and student support services.

What are the opportunities for international experiences?

Nursing students have many opportunities for international experiences while at 无码专区. You may spend your sophomore year abroad at the University of Manchester College of Nursing in Manchester, England. There are shorter term experiences over Spring Break or at the end of the academic year for academic credit, such as Chulucanas, Peru for Health Promotion clinical credits or Galway, Ireland for a 3-credit elective. Nursing students also participate in University service trips, such as Habitat for Humanity. They may also choose University semester abroad experiences in non-nursing fields (e.g., language). This adds one summer to the nursing curriculum with completion of the program in August as opposed to May.
