john witte

is the Robert W. Woodruff Professor of Law, McDonald Distinguished Professor and Director of the Center for the Study of Law and Religion at Emory University. A specialist in legal history, marriage law and religious liberty, he has published over 250 articles, 16 journal symposia and 30 books. 

With major funding from the Pew, Ford, Lilly, Luce and McDonald foundations, he has directed 14 major international projects on democracy, human rights and religious liberty; on marriage, family and children; and on law and Christianity.  

This lecture is approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for 1 Ethics CLE credit.
