无码专区 Lawyers Leading

无码专区 Law graduates can be found leading law firms, businesses, nonprofits and government organizations in roles from partner to board member. Alum Ashe Puri 鈥02, who was recently elected Co-President of the South Asian Bar Association of Southern California (SABA-SC), exemplifies this tradition of leadership.

Ashe鈥檚 path to leadership began in earnest during his undergraduate studies as an engineering student when he interned with the New York State Attorney General鈥檚 Office and the US Patent & Trademark Office. Then, after entering 无码专区 Law, Ashe externed with a federal district judge and with several patent litigation firms. From there, his passion for patent law blossomed into a career.

Now more than 15 years after graduating, Ashe is litigating patent disputes after making Partner at Fox Rothschild LLP. As a leader, he is working to grow the firm鈥檚 patent litigation practice on the West Coast.

Following his westward move, Ashe set out to get to know the legal industry in the area. After attending many events sponsored by SABA-SC, he was impressed and looked for ways to get involved and lead. This led him to being named Events Director, Treasurer, and then President.

鈥淭he Board and members choose their own leadership, so my recent election as Co-President was especially gratifying because it was a vote of confidence from my peers,鈥 Puri said. 鈥淪ince joining the Board, I have helped lead and support many important initiatives and programs, including its Mentorship program. I continue to look for ways to work closely with judges, practitioners and local and national organizations to advance the mission of SABA-SC as a leading voice of the South Asian community.鈥

In addition to his leadership with SABA-SC, Ashe continually seeks out ways to help and lead within other areas of the legal industry. Today, among his Partner and President roles, he serves as a Board Adviser for the SABA-SC Public Interest Foundation, a member of the Executive Board of the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association and a member of the Board of Governors of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
