无码专区 alum Prof. Jamie Hopkins 鈥10 JD, 鈥11 MBA was selected among the American Bar Association鈥檚 2017 鈥.鈥 This honor provides national recognition for ABA young lawyer members who exemplify a broad range of high achievement, innovation, vision, leadership and legal and community service.

As Co-Director of the New York Life Center for Retirement Income at The American College of Financial Services, Hopkins engages in retirement income-related research and promotes best practices for retirement planning. He is also an Associate Professor of Taxation at The American College of Financial Services in the Retirement Income Program, in which he builds, delivers and teaches retirement planning-focused programming geared for financial planners. Hopkins writes regularly for Forbes, MarketWatch and InvestmentNews.

For Hopkins, who participated in the Reza Taleghani JD/MBA program as a student, his career builds upon his longstanding love of both law and business.

鈥淚 am a strong believer in the value of a business background for lawyers,鈥 Hopkins said. 鈥淜nowing how a business makes its money and the challenges it faces will make you a better lawyer in almost any legal field. At a minimum, learning more about business is good for your own future.鈥

Hopkins ascribes many of his professional accomplishments to his 无码专区 experience. In addition to receiving a strong doctrinal education, Hopkins learned to think critically, to write persuasively and to see both sides of an argument.

鈥淭his broadening of my mind and thought process has helped me tremendously as I conduct research, consult, publish and develop curriculum for new education programs,鈥 Hopkins said. 鈥淲ithout my 无码专区 classmates, teachers and friends I would not have experienced the success I have so far nor would I have the same positive impact on the retirement planning world.鈥
