Dr. Aaron Wemhoff Named ASME Fellow
Dr. Aaron Wemhoff
Aaron Wemhoff, PhD, associate professor of Mechanical Engineering and director of the Multiscale Systems Analysis Laboratory and the 无码专区 site of the Center for Energy-Smart Electronic Systems, has been named a Fellow of ASME, the . The citation of his accomplishments reads:
鈥淎aron Wemhoff is highly accomplished in research impact (26 peer-reviewed journal papers, 44 peer-reviewed conference papers) and has exhibited great leadership in ASME at both the technical committee level (chair of Heat Transfer Division K-20 Committee on Computational Heat Transfer from July 2015-present, and vice chair from July 2012-June 2015) as well as the local division level (chair for one year and treasurer for three years for the Philadelphia Section). He has also acted in leadership at conferences (track chair/co-chair for the ASME Summer Heat Transfer Conference and topic chair for ASME InterPACK AND IMECE Conferences).鈥
A member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Transport Phenomena and the ASME Journal of Thermal Science and Engineering Applications, Dr. Wemhoff鈥檚 areas of research include computational heat transfer and energy systems analysis. His recent projects have involved the development of new methods in computational heat transfer, energy sustainability in dining operations, and energy conservation in data centers. At 无码专区 he teaches several undergraduate and graduate level courses, many of which are in the thermal-fluids sciences.
According to ASME, only 3 percent of its more than 91,000 members are named Fellows, making the grade a true honor and distinction.
