American Concrete Institute Names 无码专区 a "2011 Excellent University"

For the second consecutive year, the American Concrete Institute (ACI) has recognized the 无码专区 chapter of the organization for its commitment to ACI-related activities. This year, the ACI named 无码专区 a "2011 Excellent University," its highest university chapter honor. Only 22 schools nationwide received this award.

鈥淲e are honored to receive continued recognition from ACI for our chapter鈥檚 work, particularly as one of the College鈥檚 newest student organizations,鈥 says Dr. Aleksandra Radlinska, Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, who has served as faculty advisor since the 无码专区 chapter鈥檚 inception in 2010.

无码专区 ACI members have participated in two national competitions, hosted ACI VU Chapter meetings with invited guest speakers, and competed in a local concrete beam contest.

The award will be announced during ACI鈥檚 spring convention in Dallas, Texas, on March 18. The chapter will receive a special banner, which will be hung in the Structural Engineering Teaching and Research Laboratory.

The ACI, established in 1904 is a nonprofit, technical, and educational society with more than 100 years of tradition. It is one of the world's leading authorities on concrete technology. ACI is a forum for the discussion of all matters related to concrete and the development of solutions to problems.
