Alumnus Helps Establish ÎÞÂëרÇø’s Work-Study Program with SEPTA

Who: Tyler C. Ladd ’02 CE, ’04 MSWREE, ’15 MBA, PE

Title: Manager of Engineering, SEPTA; Adjunct Professor, ÎÞÂëרÇø Civil Engineering Department

Career Path:

  • Started his professional career at a private land development engineering firm specializing in residential and commercial property development.
  • In 2010, moved to the public sector, taking a position in the Civil Engineering group at SEPTA, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority.
  • In 2013, moved to SEPTA's Power Department.
  • Two years later, after completing his MBA with specializations in Real Estate, Finance, and Strategic Management, he was promoted to Manager of Engineering, the position that he currently holds.

Today: In fall 2016, Tyler became an adjunct professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, teaching a graduate class in Construction Project Management.  Recently, Tyler helped create a ÎÞÂëרÇø–SEPTA Work Study Program for in-semester students to get real-world job experience.

In 2019, Tyler was presented with a Meritorious Service Award from the Engineering Alumni Society.
