VSB Welcomes Five New Faculty Members

无码专区, Pa., August 22, 2018 鈥 The 无码专区 School of Business (VSB) is proud to announce the addition of five new faculty members to join its world-class team of teacher-scholars.

鈥淲e are thrilled to welcome our newest faculty members to VSB, and look forward to the impact they will make in the classroom and to the future of business,鈥 said Joyce E. A. Russell, PhD, the Helen and William O鈥橳oole Dean of VSB.

The newest faculty members are:

David Anderson, PhD

David Anderson, PhD: Dr. Anderson joins VSB鈥檚 faculty after serving as an assistant professor for the City University of New York, Baruch College. After graduating from the College of William & Mary with a BS in Applied Math - Statistics and Operations Research, he received his PhD in Operations Management at the University of Maryland, College Park. Some of his research topics include health care management science, analytical biochemistry, and production and operations management. Anderson has served as an ad hoc reviewer for Management Science, Production and Operations Management, Management Information Systems Quarterly and served as healthcare program co-chair for POMS International in 2017. He joins the Management & Operations department as an assistant professor.

Daniel Fragiadakis, PhD

Daniel Fragiadakis, PhD: After earning a BA degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Fragiadakis earned his PhD in Economics from Stanford University, Stanford, Calif. Fragiadakis has served as an assistant professor at Texas A&M University teaching Games and Economics Behavior and Behavioral Game Theory. His research interests include experimental economics, game theory, market design, and behavioral economics. Fragiadakis has received several awards such as the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research Ely Fellowship, Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award, and Regents鈥 and Chancellor鈥檚 Scholar, University of California, Berkeley. He joins VSB鈥檚 Economics department as an assistant professor.

Steve Kelly, JD

Steve Kelly, JD: After graduating from the University of Virginia with a BA in Economics and Government, Kelly earned his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Harvard Law School. While attending law school, he served as a teaching fellow in the Department of Economics at Harvard University where he received the Derek C. Bok Award for Excellence in Teaching of Undergraduates. Professionally, he has worked at McKinsey & Company since 1997 where he most recently served as senior partner and leader of the Philadelphia office. Kelly also serves on the Board of Trustees at The Franklin Institute. He joins VSB鈥檚 faculty as a professor of practice in the Management department.

Matthew Sarkees, PhD

Matthew Sarkees, PhD, 鈥98 MBA: After graduating from Seton Hall University with a BS in Accounting, Dr. Sarkees earned his MBA from VSB in 1998 before earning his PhD in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. Professionally, he has served in multiple positions including Assistant Professor, Marketing at the College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University, and most recently as an Associate Professor, Marketing & Interim Chair for St. Joseph's University鈥檚 Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Marketing Department in the Haub School of Business. Prior to his career in academia, Sarkees spent nearly eight years in management and marketing roles, including consulting positions at EY and IBM Global Services. He joins VSB鈥檚 faculty as the Marketing & Business Law department chair and associate professor.

Berni Stevens, PhD

Berni Stevens, PhD: Joining the VSB community as a visiting assistant professor, Dr. Stevens received her BS in Finance, as well as her MBA from Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park. She later went on to receive her PhD in Marketing from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, Bloomington. Professionally, Stevens has served as a board member of the Philadelphia chapter for Product Development and Management Association from 2013 to 2015. She also was the senior vice president of The Modellers/Omnicom along with founder and president of TechFocus Research. Stevens has previously served as an adjunct and visiting professor for VSB鈥檚 Marketing department.
