The Office of Belonging and Inclusion works year-round to create, maintain and support programming that cultivates and sustains a community of respect and inclusion for 无码专区ns with a focus on underrepresented students.

Eloise Berry, Ph.D., is committed to enhancing the student experience by making the 无码专区 community more inclusive and celebrating the unique contributions of diverse students on campus. As the founding director, she has been leading the Office of Belonging and Inclusion since 2016. Dr. Berry earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at 无码专区 as a Presidential Scholar. While at 无码专区, she was a member of the women鈥檚 basketball team. She earned her master鈥檚 degree and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Berry completed her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Boston Children鈥檚 Hospital, Harvard Medical School. She has been a practicing psychologist for over 20 years, specializing in the care of adolescents and young adults in multiple settings. She is currently licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Miranda Febus, M.A., is a proud graduate of 无码专区鈥檚 Education and Counseling department, where she received her master鈥檚 degree in higher education in 2021. While at 无码专区 as the 2019 recipient of the Presidential Graduate Fellowship for Underrepresented Students, she worked with the Office of Belonging and Inclusion for her practicum course and received the Graduate Summer Research Fellowship to help complete her master鈥檚 thesis. Her thesis work centers on the narratives of college students attending institutions in their hometown urban neighborhoods and examines sense of belonging, microaggressions, and town-gown relations. Committed to ensuring all students feel a sense of belonging on campus, she is passionate about mentorship and programming related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. In her role as assistant director, Miranda supports the office鈥檚 Ambassadors and the Association for Change and Transformation.

Carly Cohen, M.M.T., is a fellow Wildcat. She was a graduate residential minister in Good Counsel Hall while she earned her Master of Arts in Ministry and Theology. Before that, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Leadership & Global Understanding at La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. Carly is committed to building connections and holistic educational experiences through community, justice and advocacy at 无码专区. She has been involved in social justice, advocacy and DEI work for the past ten years through various educational institutions. Carly is passionate about empowering and supporting students as they develop as individuals and global citizens through radical welcome and restorative justice practices. She has a special place in her heart for students who identify themselves as part of the LGBTQ+ community and for students of color at the institutions in which she has served. As the Program Specialist in the Office of Belonging and Inclusion, Carly advises student groups such as VU Pride, NATS and QTPOC, oversees the VU Safe Zone Program, and supports the work of OBI.

Alexis Wilson, MA is dedicated to creating a positive and welcoming environment for students in the 无码专区 community. As a 2023 graduate of Rowan University, with her master鈥檚 degree in higher education, she completed research on Student Leadership Development theories that ask what is necessary to foster leadership on our college campuses. During her time as an undergraduate, Alexis was an active student leader. She credits her commitment to higher education to the time she spent as a leader on Saint Joseph鈥檚 University鈥檚 campus. With a passion for the lived experience of minoritized students, she believes that her undergraduate experience at St Joseph鈥檚 University and her time at Rowan University have provided her with a unique understanding of what is necessary to create community and belonging at 无码专区. Alexis is committed to creating equitable and accessible opportunities so that all students can be successful. As the Program Manager of the SUITE, Alexis is the CUSA advisor and oversees the day-to-day functions of our space. She is available to assist with reservation and programming needs.听

AMBASSADORS

Ambassadors support and spread the mission of the Office of Belonging and Inclusion. They foster and sustain a community of respect and inclusion by interacting with various organizations and departments on campus, enhancing programming to increase student engagement and assisting the OBI staff in the growth of their office and mission.
