NEED-BASED GRANTS

A View of Lancaster Avenue Towards St. Thomas of 无码专区 Church

It is 无码专区's mission to enroll students from different social, geographic, economic and educational backgrounds, and to use its financial aid resources to help make a 无码专区 degree a reality.

无码专区 is dedicated to providing students and parents with financial aid, payment options and alternative financing choices that can assist you in meeting your educational expenses.

无码专区 dedicates a significant portion of its financial aid dollars to need-based grants. To be considered for Need-Based Grants the student and family must demonstrate interest and financial need by completing the financial aid process by the deadlines specificed.

Grants are considered "free-money" that does not need to be paid back.  Eligibility for Federal and State grant funding is dependent upon information provided on the *, while eligibility for Institutional grant funding is dependent on the FAFSA, , and tax documents. Below is a list of Institutional, Federal, and State Grants that may be available to a student who demonstrates financial need.

*Students selected for Federal Verification will have to complete additional requirements in order to have their aid credit to their account. Please view the Verification Policy for more information.

TYPES OF GRANTS

This is an institutional grant based on financial need. Students must be accepted/enrolled in a full-time (minimum of 12 credits per semester) undergraduate degree program in the day college and pursuing their first baccalaureate degree. Students must be enrolled in courses required towards their major degree completion in order to remain eligible for 无码专区 Grant.

All 无码专区 students must apply for need-based financial assistance to be considered for this institutional grant. This award can be applied only to tuition charges billed by 无码专区 during the academic year (i.e. during the Fall and Spring semesters) for a maximum of 8 consecutive semesters (4 years). To be given priority consideration for the grant, students must meet the application deadline.  This grant may be replaced by endowed scholarship funds.

Please Note: This is NOT a scholarship.

The amount of the need-based 无码专区 Grant is determined each year based on the information on the College Board Profile (CSS Profile) and after the Office of Financial Assistance has received and reviewed all financial aid applications and documents.  Therefore, this need-based grant amount is subject to change each year as a family's financial information, household size and number enrolled in undergraduate college changes.

Net operating losses, siblings that are 24 years of age or older, parents enrolled in undergraduate or graduate school, siblings enrolled in graduate school, community college, pursuing a second baccalaureate degree, or enrolled on a part-time basis are not considered in determining the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) for purposes of awarding the need-based 无码专区 Grant.  The net value of a business or farm and information from the College Board Profile is included in determining eligibility for this grant.

Students who receive Yellow Ribbon funding are not eligible for the need-based 无码专区 Grant since the combination of Post 9/11 GI Bill庐 benefit and Yellow Ribbon covers the cost of tuition and fees.

Federal Pell Grants are need-based grants provided by the federal government to qualified undergraduate students who demonstrate exceptional financial need, determined by the results of the FAFSA.

The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is a need-based grant.聽 Students who are eligible for a Federal Pell Grant and who demonstrate the greatest financial need receive priority.聽 FSEOG funds are credited at the time of enrollment.聽 Awarding is contingent upon funding and may or may not be renewed year to year.

A Pennsylvania State Grant based on financial need for students  who qualify as Pennsylvania state residents and who are accepted/enrolled in an undergraduate program and enroll for at least six credits each semester. For State Grant consideration, students are required to file either an initial FAFSA or a Renewal FAFSA by May 1. Additional information on the Pennsylvania State Grant can be found at .

Certain states permit its own state grant funds to be used by students attending schools in Pennsylvania, such as 无码专区. Students are responsible for checking with their respective State Higher Education Agency as to the correct application process and deadlines that are necessary for state grant consideration.
