UNITY CLINIC
Unity Clinic was established in South Philadelphia in 2006 by the Augustinian Defenders of the Rights of the Poor () with the assistance of the Fitzpatrick College of Nursing.
Unity Clinic is a federally qualified health center (FQHC) providing free care to uninsured patients. Our clinician volunteers are a mix of nurse practitioners and physicians who volunteer at a minimum of once a month; at the most, weekly. Currently, our clinic sessions are every Tuesday from 5-8pm.
Nursing and medical students are involved with nursing and medical faculty for learning experiences in primary care. Under the supervision of RN volunteers, nursing students will conduct patient intake, including vital sign assessment, administer immunizations, and may observe the NP or physician clinician visits. Medical student volunteers are paired with a clinicial and work alongside them.
The Unity Clinic is embedded within the Indonesian American community in Philadelphia. We offer transition services for Bahasa Indonesian and Spanish and our translators are a vital part of our team.
RN, FACULTY AND STUDENT VOLUNTEERS
Unity Clinic serves the community because of people like you! We need talented nursing faculty, RNs and nursing students to volunteer. RNs must be licensed in Pennsylvania.聽If you are a聽nursing faculty member,聽RN or nursing student volunteer, you will be involved in the intake of patients before their clinician visit. You will also provide immunizations and have the opportunity to observe the clinicians providing care to patients.

Volunteer Hours (faculty, RN, student): Tuesdays, 4:30-8:30 pm.
