ANNUAL EVENTS
Africana Studies presents the Ida B Wells Lecture
The annual Ida B. Wells Lecture and the annual Senghor-Damas-C茅saire Lecture bring to 无码专区鈥檚 campus leading scholars, writers and public intellectuals to share their insights with the University community. The Ida B. Wells Lecture focuses on issues of particular interest to Black Americans while the Senghor-Damas-C茅saire Lecture focuses on African issues and issues connected to the global Black diaspora.
Gender and Women's Studies Annual Research Conference
Every spring, the Gender and Women鈥檚 Studies program organizes the Gender and Women's Studies Student Research Conference to highlight and celebrate gender focused work produced by students from across the university during the previous year. Undergraduate and graduate students present their work on panels or through performance. The afternoon culminates with a keynote address by a nationally recognized scholar or performer.
Center for Peace and Justice Education
The Center organizes several annual lectures including the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Keynote address, the Freedom School conference and the Oscar Romero Lecture Series.
Center for Irish Studies
The Center for Irish Studies presents a compelling series of events every semester, ranging from thought provoking symposiums and readings to culturally vibrant showcases.
