Dialogue-Facilitator

Dialogue Facilitator Training

Our Dialogue Facilitators are trained faculty and staff from throughout the University who facilitate our Dialogue Classes and Community Conversations. Selected through an application process and thoroughly trained and evaluated, facilitators will have a deep understanding of identity and power, social justice and the dialogic process.

Please email the Dr. Terry Nance Center for Dialogue if you鈥檙e interested in joining the Facilitator Team.

Association for Change and Transformation (ACT) Diversity Skit Training

Sponsored by the Association for Change and Transformation (ACT) and the Dr. Terry Nance Center for Dialogue.

This training is designed to equip students with basic dialogic skills and practices. During Orientation, ACT students then utilize these skills to facilitate small groups after the Diversity Skit for all first-year students.

Race, Justice and Dialogue Institute (RJDI)

Sponsored by the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI) and the Dr. Terry Nance Center for Dialogue and made possible with funding from the Lorenzini Family Foundation.

The Institute is designed to train faculty in antiracist principles and practices, and participate in dialogic conversations. Faculty members at any rank who teach 3-credit courses in any of the Colleges are eligible to apply. Faculty members representing all six colleges have completed the RJDI since 2021.
