APPLY TO SBA
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
The Summer Business Academy is designed for:
- Currently matriculated college students with non-business majors
- Recent college graduates with non-business degrees
- International students currently matriculated in a full-time academic degree program at an accredited U.S. institution
APPLYING TO SBA
Applications for SBA are now open. The application will close on April 15.
All students considering SBA should plan to attend an information session or schedule an appointment to discuss the program further with a member of the Summer Business Programs team at vsbsummer@villanova.edu.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis once all of the required information and materials are submitted and the most current transcript is received.
Application requirements include
- Application Form: the application form can be found in the on-line application portal, when applications are open (Jan 15 – Apr 15)
- Resume: submit your current, professionally-formatted resume. Visit the for more information on making your resume, or schedule an appointment with a career advisor.
- Unofficial Transcripts: instructions for submitting your unofficial transcripts will be found in the application. Non-ÎÞÂëרÇø students will be required to submit official transcripts.
- Essay: a 1-2 page essay answering a prompt which you will find in the application. The essay makes up a significant percentage of your application score and should be treated with time and care.
Students who have accepted an offer of admission and plan to enroll will be asked to submit a non-refundable $500 enrollment deposit (specific deadlines and instructions are provided with the acceptance notice). The deposit is applied towards SBA tuition.
SCHOLARSHIPS
A limited number of scholarships are available for ÎÞÂëרÇø students applying to SBA. Evidenced financial need, which will be confirmed by the Office of Financial Aid, is necessary to be considered. In addition to need, academic performance will be strongly considered in determining awards. Some, but not all scholarships, are designated for students from underrepresented populations.
To apply for a scholarship, students must submit an essay addressing why they should be considered, and include any related or extenuating financial circumstances, along with their other SBA application materials. The deadline to apply for a scholarship is March 15, and students will be notified by mid-April.
