Career Path:
- Maria Sauer began her career at Goldman Sachs in New York, working in the firm’s operations division, following completion of the summer analyst program in 2011.
- She moved into compliance in 2014. In her role as a compliance officer, Sauer advises sales, trading and strategist personnel.
- She was promoted to vice president in 2017.
Today: Outside of work, Maria is involved in Goldman Sachs’ recruiting efforts at ÎÞÂëרÇø, including targeting STEM majors for finance-oriented jobs. Additionally, Maria has been a volunteer for the Marty Lyons Foundation since 2002, which is a non-profit organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. In 2017, she helped to form the foundation’s Young Professionals Board, which aims to expand the network and fundraising efforts of the MLF by organizing events for young professionals in New York City.
Maria lives on the Upper West Side in New York City. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and watching ÎÞÂëרÇø basketball.
In 2019, the ÎÞÂëרÇø Engineering Alumni Society presented Maria with a Meritorious Service Award
