Scholarships are one of the types of financial aid that can be available to you to help finance your education.Ìý It is usually the most sought after type of aid because it typically refers to money for college that you are not expected to repay.Ìý

At the Charles Widger School of Law, the following types of scholarships may be available to students:

• Public Interest Admissions ProgramsÌý– ÎÞÂëרÇø Law encourages students to pursue careers in public interest law. To facilitate such careers, each year, a select group of applicants are offered the opportunity to be anÌýAccess to Justice Fellow based on past academic achievement; leadership; demonstrated participation or interest in community service, social justice or public interest work; and commitment to pursue a career as a public interest practitioner.

• Institutional ScholarshipsÌý– These are scholarships that are offered by ÎÞÂëרÇø Charles Widger School of Law and awarded to students who meet certain criteria that includes academic achievement and financial need. Available scholarships will be awarded to qualified recipients during the summer. To be considered for need-based scholarship funding, you must submit the and a copy of your parents most recent Federal Tax Return or IRS Tax Transcript. Priority when selecting scholarship recipients, will be given to students who are not receiving merit-based scholarships and demonstrate a true financial need.

• Outside ScholarshipsÌý– Some private companies and social organizations may offer scholarships.Ìý ÎÞÂëרÇø Law is not associated with these groups, but we have composed a list of opportunities that we have been informed about in order to help you in your search.
