无码专区 Law students are invited to the inaugural sessions of the Heritage Series on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) at 无码专区 Law. The purpose of the Heritage Series is to introduce all students to the standards and objectives of an environment dedicated to diversity, equity and inclusion.听These lunch sessions will contribute to an inclusive experience for the entire law school population. Students who attend all sessions of the series will become more familiar with the unique aspects of DEI in law schools and the legal profession and receive a certificate of completion.

Please note that registration for this event is required. To register, email Kent D. Lollis, Director for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at 无码专区 Charles Widger School of Law. The first 100 registrants will be entered to win prizes. You must be in attendance to win.听

Thursday, September 15: "Identifying DEI Goals and Objectives"

Teresa A. Nance, Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer, 无码专区,听will share the major DEI goals and programs of 无码专区.听Following her presentation, there will be a panel discussion about the specific objectives and goals of 无码专区 Law with an overview of topics for the Heritage Series.

Tuesday, October 4: "The Power of Joint Activity and Cooperation Among Affinity Groups"

Representatives from 无码专区 Law affinity groups will discuss building a belonging environment through the joint activities that their organizations are exploring. They will share classroom experiences, discuss approaches to expand the sensitivity of student events and activities, and predict the power that supporters can provide to the shared goals of these and other organizations. A discussion session will follow the presentation. Presenters will be Danielle DiGrazia '24, Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator of the Women's Law Caucus, Humna Rub '24, President of the Muslim Law Students Association, and Asha Steele '23, Vice President of the Black Law Students Association. Lunch will be served, and a raffle will be conducted at the conclusion of the second series.

Monday, November 7:听"Deciding and Applying to Diversity Pipeline Programs: (Almost) Everything You Need to Know for 1L Summer Jobs and Beyond"

Assistant Dean for Career Strategy & Advancement, Nicole Netkin-Collins, will discuss the landscape of 1L diversity summer hiring programs, including the employers that typically post for such positions, application deadlines and what employers are looking for in candidates. Writing Specialist Steve Schultz will join the discussion to provide tips for drafting personal statements, an often required application document for these opportunities
